Kathakali performances on 07 June 2014

Kathakali performances based on three stories Karna Sapadham, Poothanamoksham and Narakasuravadham on  07 / June / 2014  from 02.30 pm onwards .(overnight performance). The event is held at Vayalkkara, Kunnukara in Eranakulam district of Kerala, India.

Story 1: Karna Sapadham, highlighting the conversation between Kunthi and Karnnan

Annual Celebrations of Payyannur Kathakali Arangu

16^th Annual  Celebrations of Payyannur Kathakali Arangu is to be conducted on 01 June 2014 at Ayodhya Auditorium in Payyannur, Kannur Dt., Kerala . The event is inaugurated by K A Fransis, Editor in charge of Malayala Manorama magazine and Chairman of Lalithakala Academy. This year the annual celebrations are dedicated to the maestro in Kathakali, Late Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair in connection with his 100^th birth anniversary. The programmes starts from 09.00 pm. Entry is restricted by pass.

The performances starts after the inaugural session. Some of the main programmes are listed here.

09.00 am- Thayambaka in Mizhavu. Solo performance in the percussion drum- Mizhavu by Kalamandalam Eswaranunni.

10.00 am- Dance programme by Ms Keerthika

04.00 pm- Sopana Nirtham  by Mankombu Rajeev Krishna

04.30 pm: Kathakali- Dakshayagam
